What you copynever leaves your Mac.

Yank stores your clipboard history (text, links, images, and references to and copies of files) and its settings only in Yank's own storage area on your Mac. The history index is encrypted with a key managed by the macOS Keychain.

You can delete any item or clear the whole history from within the app at any time. While Incognito mode is on, nothing you copy is recorded.

Yank never sends the contents of your clipboard anywhere. The Mac App Store version of Yank connects to the network only in these cases:

• When you drag an image from a web page into Yank, it downloads that image from its original address. As with any image download, the site serving the image may log the request.
• To check purchases and subscriptions, and to restore purchases, Yank communicates with Apple's App Store. Apple handles this communication.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Yank does not check for updates on its own.

Purchasing Yank Pro, subscriptions, free trials, cancellations and refunds are all handled by Apple through the App Store. Frame Tech never receives payment information such as card numbers. Yank determines whether you own Pro on your Mac, using the purchase information Apple provides on the device.

Items you copy on a nearby iPhone, iPad or Mac reach your Mac through Apple's Universal Clipboard (Handoff). Apple performs the transfer; Yank only records what arrives on your Mac. You can turn off recording of items copied on other devices in Settings.

To paste an item you pick from your history straight into the app you were using, Yank asks for permission to send the ⌘V keystroke (it is listed under Accessibility in System Settings). Yank uses this permission only to send that keystroke and never reads the screens or contents of other apps.

File access is limited to files you drag into Yank and the folder you choose for saving (Downloads by default).

If you contact us through the inquiry form, we use what you send (such as your email address and message) only to reply and to investigate problems. Information on the website is handled under Frame Tech's privacy policy.

We may update this policy as the app changes. If we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
